Kevin Govender

As the Group Chief Enterprise Architect, Mr Kevin Govender is responsible for the IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Research and Innovation. Mr Govender’s responsibilities include providing leadership and direction as well as developing, maintaining and leveraging the Strategy and Enterprise Architecture across the organization to support the company Strategy and focus on business outcomes.

During his 20 years of work experience, Mr Govender’s expertise is attributed to the various roles he has played in the other organisations prior to joining Transnet namely Ernst & Young, Discovery, Accenture, Nedcor and Unilever. He has worked in many diverse industries and consulted to various organisations. He has extensive experience in Strategy, Business Intelligence, Business Advisory, Management Consulting, Portfolio and Programme Management, SAP Assurance and Implementation, and implementing Turnaround, Transformational and Improvement programmes.

Mr Govender received a Bachelor of Technology in Industrial Engineering from the Durban University of Technology in 1998, an Executive Leadership Programme (ELP) from the University of Cape Town Business School in 2008, and a Post Graduate Diploma (Honour’s degree) in Management Practices in Business Leadership from the University of Cape Town Business School in 2014.

Mr Govender’s key interest includes Business Strategy, Innovation, Research and New Technologies.
